Wonderful Wednesday: How Do I Love Thee?

Good Morning Sisters!

Christmas has come and gone.  The gifts have been opened and all of the food eaten.  The tree may still be up and there may still be some festivities to be enjoyed.  We hope that your holiday season has been all that you wanted it to be.

This week we are hoping to share a message of love.  Love is a verb.  We cannot hope to accomplish anything in our marriages, families, and even relationships with friends if we do not come to this understanding.

In the message this week Elder Holland asks us how we love.  He reiterates that it was Christ who taught us how to love.  If we will but follow the example of Christ we will become experts in loving others.

Wonderful Wednesday: A Light Unto All

Good Morning Sisters!!

Christmas Eve is only 2 days away! Christmas is finally upon us.

Each week we have tried to help you maintain the true meaning of Christmas with some wonderful messages from the church.  It is our sincere hope that this has helped your Christmas season to be filled with more love and joy for the true purpose of Christmas.

Today's message follows the same pattern.  It is a message about Christmas and the birth of our Savior.  This message reads from the 2nd chapter of Luke.  We would encourage each of you to read this same chapter with your families at some point during the Christmas holiday.  We believe that doing so will help each member of your family focus on the real reason for the day and all the celebrations.

Our Savior was born in a humble stable.  He came to this earth to live and die for each of us.  He was resurrected and atoned for each and every one of us.  We pray that each of you may come to know of this truth having perfect faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Wonderful Wednesday: The Spirit of Christ

Good Morning Sisters!

We are only a little more than a week away from Christmas!

We hope you have been able to remember our message last week about maintaining the true spirit of Christmas and not becoming a grinch.  With so little time left until Christmas Day the normal stresses of being prepared are upon us.  Hopefully this short video will give you a boost and help to lighten your load.

Remember, charity never faileth.

Wonderful Wednesday: From the Mouth of a Child

Good Morning Sisters!

December has just arrived, but the Christmas season is already in full swing! The calendar is full of events, gifts are waiting to be wrapped and purchased, carols are being sung, and Santa Claus is at the mall!

Among all of these tell-tell signs that the season of giving has begun, none reference the true meaning of Christmas.  Each of the things listed are wonderful and help to make Christmas time wonderful.  But it is our hope that each of you will be able to take pause and remember the words of President Utchdorf just this past Sunday and not become overwhelmed with the secular aspect of Christmas.

Dr Seuss left us some wise words we should remember throughout this Christmas season: "Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"
